Reports Say Tristan Thompson Punched Draymond Green In The Face At LeBron’s ESPYs After-Party

And Kevin Durant allegedly had to break up the fight.

The drama between Cleveland Cavalier Tristan Thompson and Golden State Warrior Draymond Green allegedly extended beyond the court and into the streets.

On Tuesday Bossip first reported Thompson hit Green in the face at an ESPYs after-party hosted by LeBron James.

Big Lead's Jason McIntyre tweeted the fight went down because Green was attempting to apologize for getting in Thompson’s face during the NBA Finals.

However, there were other reports which contradicted McIntyre’s claim.

Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic said the incident happened without reason or notice:

"Both Green and Thompson were guests of LeBron for this ultra-exclusive affair—which prohibited phones and cameras. None of the attendees expected the on-the-court drama to flare back up in this setting.

"Which is why everyone was stunned when Thompson, according to sources, out of nowhere attacked Green.

"No argument. No squaring up. No taking it outside,” wrote Thompson.

According to Thompson’s source, it was more of a face shove than a true punch.

Thompson also said the two had to be separated by Kevin Durant and the party’s host. However, Green and Thompson eventually settled down enough to rejoin the party without further drama.

Regardless of what happened on the night of the party, many assume it had something to do with Thompson and Green’s moment during Game 1 of the 2108 NBA Finals. During the overtime, Thompson was ejected from the game, and as he was leaving, Green got in his face. Eventually, Thompson shoved a basketball in Green’s face.
