Lil Wayne Addresses Cash Money Drama at Concert

Weezy tells fans he’s in a bad situation, but will be off the label soon.

Seems like the drama is real: Lil Wayne will soon be leaving Cash Money Records, the rapper said at the Vice 20th Anniversary concert on Friday night. Weezy calls his beef with the label over the release of Tha Carter V a "f***ed up situation," but says he will "be out of it soon." The on-stage announcement comes days after Weezy tweeted his frustrations with his label over the ongoing delays in releasing his latest album.
After Wayne's initial Twitter rant, Wayne's manager, Cortez Bryant, denied the rumors of the split, saying "everything is fine" between the rapper and YMCMB. Now, Bryant tells TMZ he was "just being sarcastic" in downplaying the beef.
It's not clear what Tunechi's departure, if it actually comes to that, will mean for Tha Carter V or if it will lead to an exodus of other YMCMB artists.
