Akademiks Sued For Sexual Assault and Defamation In New Lawsuit
Akademiks (Livingston Allen) has been accused of sexual assault, rape, and defamation by a woman in a new lawsuit, Rolling Stone reports.
Fauziya "Ziya" Abashe claims that the YouTuber, along with two other men, sexually assaulted her in 2022.
Akademiks and Abashe were in a brief relationship, the lawsuit stated. She said she was invited to Akademiks’ home in July 2022 and that two men were at the house that she didn’t expect to be there.
According to the complaint, Abashe said her drink was spiked, she was served large amounts of alcohol, and that she was raped in Akademik’s home. Her claims against Akademiks include "pulling her hair, prying open her legs, and brutally raping her," and she accused him of “penetrating her anally and vaginally.” Abashe said that she pleaded with Akademiks to stop, and she was "crying for most of this assault but losing her ability to move physically."
She also claimed that Akademiks showed her footage of the alleged assault that was captured by his security cameras.
“According to Ms. Abashe, as she watched the video, she looked like she was just lying there lifeless, which did not sit right with her,” read the lawsuit.
After the alleged incident, Akademiks texted Abashe and told her to "get tested" and that he would do the same, which she found "odd."
She retained a lawyer and alerted the authorities, and a rape kit examination was administered. According to the results of the kit, Abashe claims Akademik's sperm was discovered. The police took photos of her body, which had numerous bruises.
Although she went to the police, Abashe says she didn’t decide to press charges until after she and Akademiks addressed the incident online. In a December 30, 2023 video, Akademiks said that Abashe “was getting trained by my two mens on my pool deck.”
Abashe is suing Akademiks for defamation because he insinuated that she was a voluntary participant in an orgy with his friends.
In a statement, Abashe is looking forward to the truth coming out.
“I’m confident that justice will prevail and the veil will be removed so no other woman will have to endure what I did,” her statement read.
