Watch: Crazy Video of a Deer Attacking a Woman After She Hit It With Her Car

An officer's dash cam captured the shocking event.

Dash cam footage from a New Jersey police officer captured a bizarre altercation between a woman and a deer that she had just hit.

The officer was driving down the road in Howell when he saw a deer cross into the road and in front of an SUV. Ellen Sager, 43, was driving when the SUV and accidentally hit the deer. She immediately got out of her car to see if the animal was alright.

However, Sager could not have predicted what was to come next.

Just as Sager opened the door, the deer darted out and started to attack her.

"He was determined to get in that car. He was mad. He was mad," Sager said. "Yes, he was trying to get in, to get me."

Howell Patrolman Nicholas Austin caught the entire attack on the dash cam of his cruiser.

"I've never seen anything like it. I've lived in this town my entire life and never seen or heard anything ever like that," said Austin.

Sager suffered a minor knee injury as a result of the attack. Howell police released a statement after the video was released.

"In what appears to be a scene from a cheap comedy, Sager physically struggles with the rather large deer and has to kick the deer out of her vehicle and quickly close the door to keep it out," Howell Township police wrote in a news release.

As for the pesky deer, it unfortunately rolled over and died from its injuries just a few moments later.
