Samuel L. Jackson Reveals How He Celebrated His Recent Birthday
Samuel L. Jackson doesn't play about his beauty rest, even on days when it's time to let loose.
While speaking to PEOPLE at the premiere of his new movie, "Argylle," out on February 2, the iconic actor revealed how he spent his 75th birthday. If you think he turned up or partied the night away, you're wrong. According to this Sagittarius, it was a "quiet" evening devoted to counting sheep.
“I had a nice sushi dinner and went to sleep,” he explained to the outlet of his milestone birthday that fell on Dec. 21.
While he opted for a few extra z's for his latest birthday, last year was quite different.
To mark his special day in 2022, his onstage family of August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson," had a sweet surprise for Jackson. During one of the show's curtain calls that month, they belted out "Happy Birthday" to him.
Also, Al Sharpton appeared on stage with a cake in hand and dropped some words of admiration for the action star.
“I just wanted to bring the cake out for the man who has probably entertained more people around the world than anybody, and he has done more to help humanity and he does it real quiet,” said Sharpton.
“And when he was on Broadway playing Martin Luther King, and Tanya [LaTanya Richardson Jackson] and I, his wife, conspired for us to do it again. So you keep having birthdays, and we gonna keep surprising you,” Sharpton continued.
