'Sistas' Ep. 20 Recap: Lawyers And Liars and Knives - Oh My!

Karen pulls a knife out on Zac and Andi confronts Morris about the attack!

Tonight's episode of Sistas was boiling hot with drama, including team #Zaren losing all hope for the couple, after their biggest fight to date. While the fate of our favorite friend Maurice is still unclear, on the bright side, we got to see Andi confront Morris about the assault, and ultimately take the "W" in their one-on-one.

Because one thing about those tables - they always turn.

Check out the suspenseful recap and find out what's happening now with Andi (KJ Smith), Karen (Ebony Obsidian) and Sabrina (Novi Brown) and Dani (Mignon Von)!

  1. KAREN

    Charles Bergmann/BET/Tyler Vision

"You gon' pull a knife on me, Karen?"

  2. This may definitely be the end of Zac and Karen as we know it. After Zac confronts Karen for Aaron spending the night at her place, Zac calls Karen and her friends "b*tches" and "h*es." He also asks Karen if it is a hobby for her and the girls to sleep around with married men (a clear dig at Andi and her ongoing love affair with Gary). When Karen demands her keys back from Zac, he hurls them in her direction, accidentally hitting Karen in the face, and immediately regretting the fact. While pleading for forgiveness and explaining that he did not "mean to hit," her, Karen pulls a knife out on Zac, and calls the police.

Having already racked up a rap sheet in his past, Zac leaves the house immediately, and leaves Karen alone.

  3. ANDI

    Charles Bergmann/BET/Tyler Vision

    "Were you gonna rape me?"

  5. After visiting Gary in jail, Andi decides to stop by Morris' office. While there, she makes him an offer that he can't refuse. In exchange for not pressing charges against Morris and going public with his attack on her (something that could ultimately jeopardize Morris’ reputation), she says she'll drop the charges against him, if he drops his against Gary. She also tells Morris to convince Jasmine to not go to the bar, and have her license revoked. When Morris attempts to accuse Andi of bluffing, she reassures him that she's not, saying, "I'm not like the other women, Morris. I'm not afraid of you."

After agreeing to the terms, Andi forces Morris to call Jasmine immediately, and place the call on speakerphone. When she picks up Morris' call, Jasmine immediately greets the manipulative lawyer with a "Hey baby," to which Andi tells Morris, "Checkmate," and walks out of his office. Looks like Andi definitely won this battle.

  6. SABRINA

    Charles Bergmann/BET/Tyler Vision

    "They beat him really bad..."

  7. After heading to the hospital to visit Maurice, Sabrina runs into Calvin. Unaware of Maurice's attack, Calvin, who is visiting his own father at the same hospital, assumes Sabrina is following him, and accuses her of intruding on his life. When detectives come to visit Sabrina at the hospital, Calvin overhears the conversation, and goes over to comfort Sabrina. She begins to blame herself for Maurice's attack, saying she should've never given his attacker, Alonzo, Maurice's number as a prank.

When Dani stops by to comfort and support Sabrina, Calvin tells both women off for their judgmental ways, while Dani takes a few digs at Calvin for his seemingly dramatic ways. As for the fate of Maurice - he is still in critical condition, and hanging on to his life by a string.

  9. DANI

    Charles Bergmann/BET/Tyler Vision

"Girl, what happened to your face?"

  10. Looks like Dani's favorite headache and frenemy is moving back to her place! After pretty much giving up on reconciling with Karen, Zac calls Dani and offers her $2,000 upfront, in exchange for moving into her place immediately. He also confesses to Dani that he accidentally hit Karen in the face with house keys. Dani accepts the money and agrees to meet up with Zac later, but not before scolding him for his carelessness towards her friend.

When Karen meets Dani at the hospital, Dani asks Karen about her face (despite no evidence of an assault being visible), in an attempt to pry on the drama between her and Zac. She also speaks to Sabrina later on about her own love life, after she reveals that her cowboy-bae has gone ghost on her. Could this rodeo officially be over? We sure hope not!
