13 Tweets Ripping Mel Gibson's ‘Action Movie’ About Police Brutality
Hollywood has made some really bad choices greenlighting projects in the past — casting Emma Stone and Scarlett Johansson as Asian chicks, putting no people of color in a film about the Bible set in Egypt — but nothing seems quite as bad as a movie about police brutality starring Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn as the protagonists. Yeah, you read that right.
In the film, called Dragged Across Concrete, Gibson and Vaughn will play cops who are suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics gets wide attention. They then descend into the criminal underworld to exact vengeance.
Given Gibson's history of racism and anti-Semitism, there's no way this is a good idea.
