Uzo Aduba, Scandal 's Joe Morton Nab Early Emmy Awards

Actors were recognized at the Creative Arts ceremony this weekend.

The Emmy Awards aren't for another week, but Uzo Aduba and Joe Morton are already winners! The actors from Orange Is the New Black and Scandal, respectively, were honored with Emmy Awards at the Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday in Los Angeles.
Aduba won for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, beating out her co-stars Laverne Cox and Natasha Lyonne, while Morton won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. This is the first Emmys win for both actors, who were standouts in their respective series this year.
The Creative Arts Emmys recognizes mostly technical and behind-the-scenes achievements in television, along with a handful of acting categories. Morton's and Aduba's co-stars Kerry Washington and Taylor Schilling will be up for awards during the main Emmys telecast next Monday night.
Congratulations to both winners!
