Anthony Anderson and Ex-Wife Alvina Anderson Settle Divorce

They share two adult children.

Anthony Anderson and his ex-wife Alvina Stewart have finalized their divorce after being married for 22 years.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the exes filed a declaration of uncontested default on September 14 and have reached a written agreement that details the specifics of their split.

The legal documents cite that the comedian will pay Stewart spousal support, along with her attorney fees.

Alvina also requested that all property acquired during their marriage be treated as "community" property and divided equally among her and Anderson. Additionally, she listed separate property to include "all gifts and inheritance, all assets, earnings, accumulations, and debts."

In 2015, she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. During that filing, she referenced April 1, 2014, as their date of separation. She also requested spousal support. But in January 2017, she dismissed the divorce petition.

Five years later, she filed for divorce again. On March 25, 2022, she listed their separation date as "TBD" and sought spousal support from the black-ish star and for him to cover her legal fees. Days later, Anderson requested a dissolution of marriage and listed February 25 as their separation date due to irreconcilable differences, as reported by the outlet.

Anthony and Alvina exchanged vows in September 1999. They share two adult children: daughter Kyra, 26, and son Nathan, 22.
