Samuel L. Jackson Says His Morning Playlist Features Trick Daddy and NWA
You won’t believe which artists Samuel L. Jackson listens to during his daily routines.
On a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning, the esteemed Hollywood veteran candidly discussed his eclectic music preferences, revealing that his morning playlist features a wide range of styles, spanning from Usher's greatest hits to timeless tracks by Miami rapper Trick Daddy.
“When I get up in the mornings when I’m on location and I’m working and my wife’s not with me, I can turn my Beats Pill on and play music loud as hell in the morning when I’m showering, shaving, getting ready to go to work,” the Marvel star told the hosts.
“I got my hip-hop playlist going,” he added, noting that “Some days I wake up and go, ‘Let’s listen to Usher today.’ Boom, so I just throw on Usher’s greatest and keep it moving. Even something as off as Trick Daddy. I get up in the morning and bam! Listen to Trick Daddy. Whatever strikes me, you know? Some days it’s N.W.A. and old stuff, some days it’s new stuff.”
Elsewhere, Jackson opened up about his return as Nick Fury in Secret Invasion, a 6-episode series that will find Fury and others in a battle to stop an alien attack. The show is set to start streaming exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday (June 21).
