Lawrence Taylor Arrested For Failing To Register As A Sex Offender
Former NFL star Lawrence Taylor was arrested in Broward County, Florida after failing to update his address as part of a requirement for his sex offender status, according to TMZ.
In 2011, Taylor pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct after he was arrested for soliciting sex from a 16-year-old and was required to register as a sex offender. The 62-year-old is required to update the state with a new address every time he moves.
Taylor now faces two felony counts after being booked Thursday night (Dec. 16) around 8:45 p.m ET. He was released hours later.
Taylor, who spent his entire football career with the New York Giants from 1981–1993, has had numerous arrests over the last decade and substance abuse issues. He would routinely pass NFL drug testing by passing his teammates' urine off as his own.
