Wendy Williams Reportedly Postpones Return To Talk Show For A Second Time
After sharing that she will be returning to her eponymous talk show a week later than scheduled, Wendy Williams has reportedly decided to further delay her return by another week.
According to Variety, the talk show maven has postponed her return to her morning talk show for a second time, marking her new return date as January 21, a week after her originally rescheduled date of January 14.
The online publication reports that, while Williams, herself, will be absent from the program, a panel of "Hot Talkers" will be present to entertain viewers while she is away.
Mort Marcus and Ira Bernsteins, co-presidents of the show's syndication company, Debmar-Mercury, issued a statement in support of Williams' decision.
"As she has for the past 10 years, Wendy delivers an incomparable live talk show day in and day out and we want to give her the best opportunity to heal and recover," they stated. "Wendy has our complete and unwavering support and we look forward to her return to the iconic purple chair."
As previously reported, Williams outlined in an Instagram post that she is currently recovering from an injury to her shoulder.
The Wendy Williams Show is currently in its 10th season.
