Hip Hop Awards 2024: Fat Joe Opens 2024 Ceremony with a Classic
We can’t get enough of rapper, actor, philanthropist, and executive producer Fat Joe, who hosted the BET “Hip Hop Awards 2024” for the third time. This year’s show occurred at the famous Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub in Las Vegas, NV.
The South Bronx native was met with roaring applause as he opened the ceremony with an electrifying performance of his hit single “Make It Rain.”
Dressed in a stylish salmon-colored two-piece set, the rap legend hyped up the crowd, setting the tone for a night filled with explosive performances from some of the biggest names in hip-hop.
Following his set, Joe told the crowd, “That’s how you open up a show…. We back for a three-peat night night.”
“For hip-hop nightclubs, this is the epicenter of smash hits,” he continued. “If you’ve ever been to one [then] you know that the music never stops. We’re gonna keep that same energy tonight for the whole entire show,” he added.
The “Lean Back” emcee has become a staple at the “BET Hip Hop Awards.” He has owned the Awards stage for three consecutive years, adding his infectious enthusiasm and star power to the event, proving he's as much a part of hip-hop's present as its golden past.
