Chris Brown: 'Y'all Better Start Showing Some F**king Respect!'
Since blowing up on R&B charts at 15 years old and positioning himself as one of Hollywood’s most phenomenal singing, songwriting, acting, dancing and performing talents, Chris Brown has made a name for himself well worthy of respect among the industry’s elite.
And that’s exactly what he demanded on Thursday (October 26) following a minor rumor mill spin about his alleged drug use earlier in the week.
Breezy made it clear in his statement via Instagram that he’s above the naysay not only when it comes to himself, but other people as well. The post, which reads, “Made a habit of shutting down conversations that involve hating on other people,” features a lengthy address to those who he feels he must constantly defend himself against simply for exceeding their expectations. And he refuses to let any of it get to him or his Blood gang alter ego, “Bhris.”
“Take it how u want but due to the fact I have to defend myself for winning is a damn shame!!,” he wrote. “I AINT BRINGING BHRIS BACK! MY MUSIC WILL FOREVER SPEAK FOR ME. SO ANYONE WHO THINK IM FINNA KEEP LETTING YALL TRY TO MAKE AN ISSUE OUT OF LOVE needs to take several seats.”
Breezy has been trekking through New York City all week, beginning with his TIDAL X Brooklyn set at the Barclays Center along with the rest of the star-studded performance roster. On Wednesday (October 25), the “Little More” crooner surprised Team Breezy with a pop-up show at Manhattan Center’s Grand Ballroom. He unfortunately had to skip out on his The Breakfast Club appearance, however, which sparked a bit of tension after a comment made from one of the morning show’s hosts, Charlamagne Tha God. This time, it seems that there’s an unnamed industry counterpart who’s digging up a hatch with Breezy now.
“IM THE BEST OUT OF ALL THESE ARTIST AND I WILL NOT ALLOW U BROKE FOLLOWING NEED A HOOK FROM CHRIS BROWN SO YALL RECORDS POP TO SAY OTHERWISE!,” he boasted. “YALL BETTTER START SHOWING SOME F**KING RESPECT AND ACT RIGHT! I MAKE MUSIC FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE MY S**T!!! And obviously everybody need a hook or a song but me from anyone!!!”
Breezy reminds that you can also add directing, editing and vocal arrangement to his Hollywood resume. He’s the “F**KING BEST,” he proclaimed, and he’s ready to take on anyone bold enough to challenge him on it.
“SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, ACTAULLY [sic] GET A WORK ETHIC AND GRIND BECAUSE IMA OUT-HUSTLE, RAP, AND SING BETTER THEN ALL YOU SCARED INDUSTRY N****S! I been here before a lot y’all n****s even knew about real music! NOT NAY ONE OF ANY OF YALL CAN SEE ME AND YOU ACTUALLY TRULY KNOW IT!”
Did y’all write all that down?
