Heartbreaking: Apollonia Speaks Out for the First Time on the Passing of Prince

She co-starred with the icon in "Purple Rain."

Prince's former muse Apollonia Kotero is finally ready to speak.
Kotero, who said at the time of Prince's passing that she was "too heartbroken" to make a statement, finally found the words to express her grief. Four months after the Purple One's passing, the actress posted a touching open letter detailing her feelings about the rock legend's death, writing that "the pain is unbearable, making it hard to breathe." 

Kotero, who co-starred in Prince's Purple Rain, also surprised fans last night by making her first public appearance since his passing at a screening of the iconic rock musical in Los Angeles.
"I feel like your widow," she writes. "I see you everywhere. I see you in everything. I know you wanted to live. You were so happy to be getting your music back. You told me of all your plans. Your plans for me."
