Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Changes Tune On National Anthem Protests, Kneels Alongside Team

In August, Jones said he felt “very strong” against protests during the “Star Spangled Banner.”

Plot twist! Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had a change of heart about players kneeling during the national anthem.

Jones kneeled and locked arms with the entire Cowboys team during this week’s edition of Monday Night Football.

A proud Trump supporter and kneeling protest opponent, Jones reflected on the team’s decision saying referring to it “as a statement of equality and representation of unity.”

Jerry Jones’ kneeling protest comes as a huge surprise. Just last week he shared his reservations on protests during an interview with “Shan and RJ” radio show. “I just feel so strongly that the act of recognizing the flag is a salute to our country and all of the people that have sacrificed so that we can have the liberties we have.” “I feel very strongly that everyone should save that moment for the recognition of the flag in a positive way, so I like the way the Cowboys do it,” he concluded.
