Cardi B and Patti LaBelle are teaming up to give us holiday realness. It’s the collab we didn’t know we needed.

The famed artists discussed a collaboration for the season, teaming up their respective sweet offerings – Cardi B's Whipshots, an alcoholic whipped cream, and Patti LaBelle's Good Life pies – in an interview with People.

Even though they had not met before this collaboration, LaBelle said that she had felt like she and the "Bodak Yellow" rapper were "supposed to be together" for a long time.

“I've been her mother in my mind for a long time because she's just all that and a bag of chips. And I'm all that and a bag of chips,” LaBelle said.

Cardi acknowledged that their collaboration had been a long-awaited moment, yet her apprehension to meet the R&B legend remained palpable. "I feel like I’m not worthy; I just feel so shook!" Cardi expressed to People, with LaBelle nodding beside her. "I’m super starstruck. I’m on my best behavior."

LaBelle joked, "Don't be on your best behavior around me, because I'm really bad." Cardi continued the joke, warning, "Miss Patti, I'm going to do the splits on these tables."

Though hailing from different musical genres and generations, the two artists share striking similarities in their undeniable talent, larger-than-life personas, and the ability to captivate audiences worldwide.

The Bronx native is not only amazed by Patti LaBelle's remarkable music career but also by her food brand, Patti’s Good Life. LaBelle's food line features a variety of fresh and frozen items, including macaroni and cheese, banana pudding, and her renowned pies. With a successful 15-year run, Patti’s Good Life achieved an impressive $200 million in gross revenue last year, according to Forbes.

Cardi noted that she’s taking notes from the living legend. “I got to take [inspiration] from you,” the rapper shared. Her boozy whipped cream line, Whipshots, was released almost two years ago and comes in five flavors: pumpkin spice, peppermint, vanilla, mocha, and caramel. All of the flavors have an ABV of 10%.
