Cam Newton Addresses the Haters in New Beats by Dre Ad
Cam Newton is dabbing on his haters just in time for the Super Bowl... and with a little help from 2 Chainz. Truuu!
Set to the sounds of his "Watch Out" record, Chainz narrates a new Beats by Dre ad, showing the Carolina Panthers' star quarterback's grueling training regimen, blasting all his doubters with good, old fashioned hard work.
“Just when I think I can’t go anymore, I think about those who doubted me, and I do one more rep," 2 Chainz's voice can be heard in the clip, starring Newton. "I do one more pull-up. And if giving a kid a football just for a smile, or dancing after a touchdown hurts other people’s feelings… then guess what? Too bad they don’t make Band-Aids for feelings.”
Well said, and with impeccable timing, as the ad for the new Powerbeats2 Wireless, sweat-resistant earphones aired Sunday coinciding with Newton and his Panthers punching their ticket to Super Bowl 50 with an NFC title rout of the Arizona Cardinals.
Although you might be wondering about the pairing of 2 Chainz and Newton, it makes sense, considering Newton is an Atlanta native.
And 2 Chainz isn't the only Atlanta rapper repping for Newton, as Jeezy and Future snapped a picture with the star QB, and front runner for the 2015 NFL MVP, before Sunday night's game.
All that's left for Cam to do this season is to win the Super Bowl.
His Panthers will face Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on February 7 in San Francisco.
