Solange and Dev Hynes Patch Things Up at FYF Fest
Back in 2012, Solange Knowles and Dev Hynes (who records as Blood Orange) made beautiful music together on her True EP. Within weeks of the album dropping, however, things turned very sour between the two and resulted in a public Twitter feud in which Solange seemed to imply that Hynes was taking too much credit for his role on the album.
Now, things seem to be copacetic between the two, who performed together at FYF Fest in Los Angeles over the weekend. After bringing Hynes out to perform "Losing You" and "Bad Girls" from True, Solange enlisted the musician/producer to join her for a cover of Nina Simone and Aretha Franklin's civil rights anthem "To Be Young & Gifted & Black."
Watch Solo and Hynes rehearse their performance here and see for yourself what a difference a couple of years makes.
