O.J. Simpson Hit With Tax Lien

The former football star owes State of California $300,000 in taxes.

O.J. Simpson is now in trouble with the IRS, having failed to pay $300,000 in state taxes back in 2000. According to TMZ, there’s been a new lien filed against him. Simpson, who is currently serving time in a Nevada prison for robbery, owes the State of California $318,566.04 in unpaid taxes from 12 years ago.

This isn’t the only financial matter the ‘70s football star has to answer for, having a federal lien filed against him for the years of 2007-2010, for $179,435.07. He also still owes the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman millions for causing their death

But there has been one promising development in Simpson's tumultuous life. Last month, a Nevada judge agreed to reopen Simpson’s robbery and kidnapping case to determine if he was poorly represented by his legal team. If so, he may be granted another trial and be freed from prison.
