Patrice O’Neal Gets Tributes From Charlie Sheen and Comedy Central
The passing of comedian Patrice O’Neal was acknowledged by Charlie Sheen, the man who O’Neal helped roast on Comedy Central.
"The entertainment world as well as the world at large lost a brilliant man," Sheen tweeted following the announcement of the comedian’s death.
O’Neal died Tuesday morning from complications from a stroke he suffered back in October. A diabetic, O'Neal was a native of Boston, Massachusetts, and known for his edgy comedy. He appeared on Chappelle's Show, The Office and was a regular guest on the “Opie and Anthony” radio show.
According to TMZ, Comedy Central will be paying tribute to the comedian tonight, re-airing his stand-up special Elephant in the Room. A rep for the network said the network would air the special at 8 P.M. and at midnight (uncensored).
