Tupac's Movie in the Works
In 1995, while incarcerated for 11 months at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, NY Tupac wrote a screenplay, Live 2 Tell. That script has finally been bought and will see the light of day thanks to production from NStar Studios and a budget of $11 million.
The production team includes Preston Holmes and Ivan Juzang who also produced the biopic, Tupac: Resurrection, Dwight Williams, director of Hustle and Flow and Afeni Shakur, Tupac's mother. And directing it will be Antoine Fuqua of Training Day.
Live 2 Tell follows a young drug dealer as he attempts to leave the game behind him. Although Tupac acted in several movies, including Poetic Justice and Juice (which is currently being remade by Soulja Boy), this will be the first he's written. NStar hopes to start production in early 2012. The completion of the film is far off, but that only leaves time to let the anticipation build.
