Mary J. Blige, Lil Wayne to Perform at Billboard Awards
The Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige and platinum-selling rapper Lil Wayne are the two latest additions to the Billboard Music Awards performance line-up. The pair will perform Blige's "Someone to Love Me" single for the Vegas audience.
Weezy and Mary join a host of other artists scheduled to perform including Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, Pitbull and Ne-Yo.
Also slated to perform are the colorful Nicki Minaj, who's nominated for four awards at the show, and the chart-topping Cee-Lo Green, who wowed America earlier this year with his Grammy performance of his hit single "Forget You." Jennifer Lopez will likely perform her new single "On the Floor" and EW.com reports that Far East Movement will rock out to their hit "Rocketeer" alongside OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and will also team up with Snoop Dogg on "If I Was You (OMG)"
As previously reported, the Billboard Music Awards are returning after a five-year hiatus. Rihanna tops all nominees with 18 nominations, including slots in the Top Artist and Top Streaming Artist categories.
Young Money dominates the Top Rap Album category; Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Drake will all battle for Top Rap Album, along with Kanye West and Eminem.
There are 46 categories and winners are determined by how well artists and songs do on the charts, as well as online streaming and downloading numbers. Read the full nominations list here.
The show airs live this Sunday night [May 22] at 8P / 7C on ABC.
