Yep, People Are Actually Considering a Kanye West Presidency Now...
As our nation attempts to digest the fact that Donald Trump will serve as the 46th president of the United States, one other fact is also beginning to present itself to be true, at least on Twitter: Kanye West actually has a fighting chance in 2020.
While many young voters are taking to social media to share their various reactions to the election's outcome, others are beginning to start campaigning for 'Ye, who back at the 2015 VMAs, put the idea in everyone's heads that he is interested in leading our nation.
West, much like Trump, has no political or military experience, with many observing that if someone with the Republican nominee's background can win, anything is possible, including having a rapper serve in the Oval Office.
During his now-infamous speech detailing his vision of running for president, West stated that his decision to run for president is bigger than himself.
"I don't know what I'm gonna lose after this... it don't matter though because it ain't about me," he said during his rambling speech. "It's about new ideas, bro. People with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could've guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president."
Since that announcement, many people dismissed the idea as a joke, with some even cheekily making #Yeezy2020 or #Kanye2020 campaign merchandise. Now that Donald Trump has won, the idea of Kanye West running our country doesn't seem all that far-fetched.
Take a look at some of 'Ye's early campaign supporters in the tweets below.
