D.L. Hughley is an American actor, political commentator, radio host and stand-up comedian. He was the original host of BET's Comic View from 1992-1993 and the eponymous character on the ABC/UPN sitcom The Hughleys.

D.L. was one of the Original Kings of Comedy, which was also comprised of Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer and Bernie Mac.

If you follow this man on Instagram, by now you know he's an activist. Additionally, D.L. has been the host of CNN's D.L. Hughley Breaks the News, a correspondent for The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on NBC and a local radio personality and interviewer in New York City. 

He likes challenges, it's true. We're not kidding. In early 2013, D.L. Hughley landed in ninth place on Dancing With the Stars despite claiming himself to be someone that "doesn't have rhythm."
