Kanye West’s “All of the Lights” Goes Platinum

The vibrant hit single reaches 1 million in digital sales.

Diehard Kanye West fans may be eagerly anticipating the upcoming Watch the Throne album from Yeezy and Jay-Z, but the Chi-town superstar is still getting love for his 2010 opus, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. That album's fourth single, "All of the Lights," just went platinum in digital sales, according to Billboard.
The explosive track is notable for its inclusion of 11 guest vocal artists, including Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Fergie, Elton John, The-Dream, Drake, La Roux and others, most of whom sing minor background parts. In February, Yeezy released a Hype Williams-directed video for "Lights" that caused controversy because of its potentially seizure-inducing rapid flashes of color.
Kanye's fourth album went platinum back in January. The Grammy winner has been spotted recently with his "big brother" Jay-Z, as the two put the finishing touches on their collaboration album, Watch the Throne, due later this year.
