A New Drake Album Is Here, But There's Just One Problem With It
If Drake dropping two full-length albums in one year is too good to be true, that’s because it probably is.
And in the case of a Scriptures hoax album by Drizzy, which his close in-house OVO producer and hit maker Noah “40” Shebib pranked him with as a gift, it definitely is.
The faux project is complete with a popular throwback cover photo of Drizzy and even a 15-song track list. There’s at least one familiar title on it, however, such as his Meek Mill-scathing “Back to Back” diss record leading the track list. But songs like “Juice,” the album’s title track, “Scriptures,” “Too Thoughtful” and “Mamma” are songs that we’ve never heard from Drake. Apparently, that’s also the case for the OVO champ himself.
“Yo, what album did you just give me?” Drizzy says to 40 as the entire room bursts into laughter.
As if it wasn’t obvious enough that the project is completely fake, the curator behind it would have also known that “Back to Back” is a thing of the past after Drizzy scratched it from all future performances back in January. His recent display of support for the Dreamchasers emcee amid his heavy-handed prison sentence and their rap rivalry upholds that as well.
