Rick Ross' Track 'Idols Become Rivals' Also Has a Message For Chris Rock

Rozay is still talking about the comedian's 2014 BET Awards diss.

We already know that Rick Ross' new album Rather You Than Me went after Birdman in the track "Idols Become Rivals," but it turns out that was not the only celebrity that Ross was referencing in the hit song.

Ross revealed that while the track is about relationships falling apart, it is also about gaining friends, and forgiveness. In this instance, he talks about turning A-list comedian Chris Rock from enemy into ally after Rock poked fun at Ross at the 2014 BET Awards.

Rock made jokes about Ross' weight during the awards show, saying, “Rick Ross even has headphones,” Rock said. “Dre got Beats. Rick Ross has dia-Beats. They’re headphones that you put on swollen feet before you chop ’em off.”

Ross later took to Twitter to return the favor:

Ross explained that the two were able to put the hard feelings behind them. "'Idols Become Rivals,' and putting Chris Rock on it—someone I once had a difference with, so it’s two sides to that," Ross revealed in a recent VEVO interview.

“Everybody don’t just become your rival. You also can gain allies, and I did both on the record. This the first time I actually pointed it out.”

Their ability to move past their beef is what eventually lead to Rock lending his famous voice for the short interlude on "Idols Become Rivals." We can only hope for future collabs from these two.
