Tech N9ne continues to break records, even if they are his own.

Last week, industry forecasters predicted that the Strange Music leader would move over 60,000 units for Special Effects after its initial release. With the numbers officially in, he has sold 66,087 units in the first week ending May 10. This latest accomplishment is Tech’s highest first week sales of his career.

Special Effects debuted as the No. 1 rap album, the No. 2 independent album and the No. 4 album overall on the Billboard Top 200, according to a press release. His other albums that have landed on charts include 2011’s All 6’s & 7’s, 2013’s Something Else and his 2014 collabo album, Strangeulation.
Special Effects features the likes of Eminem, Lil Wayne, T.I., 2 Chainz and more.
