Sauce Walka Says He’s ‘Good’ After Leading Police on a High-Speed Chase
Houston-based rapper Sauce Walka is in police custody and facing charges after taking authorities on a high-speed car chase early Wednesday morning (Dec 6.)
According to FOX26, the 33-year-old, whose real name is Albert Walker Mondane, was charged with evading arrest or detention using a motor vehicle, watercraft, or tire deflation device. Court documents obtained by the outlet stated that the “Ghetto Gospel” rapper evaded police while driving 130 mph for over two miles before ultimately crashing his vehicle.
Shortly after his arrest, a video was uploaded to Walka’s Instagram Stories in which he reveals he’s in “good” condition and is expected to be released shortly.
“I want to tell all my fans that I appreciate y’all for your care and concern,” the rapper said. “I’m good, I’m straight. I made it through a catastrophic accident, and the Super Saiyan that I am, I’m still here, I’m good, I’m healthy and will continue to be wealthy.
The emcee is set to appear in court on Friday (Dec 8.)
