'Ms. Pat Settles It!': Life’s Too Short For Broken Water Heaters

Ms. Pat and her jurors take on trifling sisters suing their mom, cousin vs cousin, and an annoying roommate.

Tamar Braxton, Karlous Miller, DeRay Davis, Carmen Barton, TS Madison, Ray J, and White Boy Chris join Ms. Pat in this episode of "Ms. Pat Settles It!" to dish out some unpredictable and hilarious justice. With messy family disputes and nightmare roommates at the center of the drama, you won't want to miss the chaos that unfolds. Here's a rundown of the cases and the takeaways from each wild scenario.

Taneisha and Aleisha Leonard vs. Angela Martin

Taneisha and Aleisha are taking their mom to court, demanding $2,500 for repairing her rundown Camry, only to be left high and dry when she junked the car and bought a new one instead of reimbursing them. But Angela Martin, their mom, isn't going down without a fight. She’s countersuing for $3,500, claiming her daughters wrecked both the old and new cars. Angela argues that since they were living with her at the time, she assumed they were just helping her out and didn’t need to be paid back. However, Taneisha and Aleisha produced a promissory note proving their mom agreed to pay. Despite the evidence, the sisters' story doesn’t hold up, especially since they drove to court in their mom’s car to sue her.

The Ruling: Ms. Pat sides with the mom and orders the daughters to pay her $1,000. Since they were suing for $2,500 and their mom was countersuing for $3,500, the $1,000 represents the difference.

Jahna Wilhite vs. Kaylo Henry

Jahna is suing her friend Kaylo for $1,125, claiming she paid $1,500 for a month’s rent but got kicked out after just a week. Kaylo took Jahna in out of kindness, only to discover Jahna had a history of getting booted from other places. Things got tense when Jahna started causing disturbances, leading to noise complaints in their HOA neighborhood. The final straw? Jahna made an inappropriate advance towards Kaylo, which was promptly rejected.

The Verdict: In a surprising twist, Ms. Pat rules in favor of Jahna. Despite all the drama, Ms. Pat believes Kaylo should’ve tolerated the nonsense for the 30 days since Jahna had paid for a full month.

Alicia Ford vs. Jeramy Roland

Alicia is suing her cousin Jeramy for $1,428, claiming he wrecked her water heater by taking marathon hot showers. Jeramy admits to his long showers but insists he shouldn’t be on the hook for the full amount, offering to fix it with help from a friend. Plus, the water heater was 24 years old, so it was bound to fail soon anyway. Despite being the most reasonable defendant the show has seen, the jury and Ms. Pat aren’t swayed.

The Verdict: Ms. Pat rules in favor of Alicia but with a twist. Recognizing Jeramy’s financial struggles after his car broke down, she generously gives him $1,000 to fix his car, allowing the cousins to part ways on good terms.

The Lesson: Life’s too short to squabble over hot water heaters.
