The 9-year-old Black child who was accused of assaulting a white woman dubbed “Cornerstore Caroline” delivered a message to members of his community and the woman.

Jeremiah Harvey tearfully spoke with his mother standing by his side. Last Wednesday, Harvey was seen crying in a video while a white woman named Teresa Klein accused him of grabbing her butt inside a Brooklyn bodega.

Klein called 911 on the child while others videotaped and criticized her.

"That's right. Her son grabbed my a--," Klein could be heard saying on her phone. "And, she [the mother] decided to yell at me. There are security cameras in this bodega."

After surveillance video revealed Jeremiah's hands never touched the woman and it was his backpack that brushed her backside, Klein issued an apology.

"Young man, I don't know your name, but I'm sorry," she said.

During the meeting on Monday, Jeremiah’s mother, Someko Bellille, also spoke.

"What happened to us respecting one another, having unity and being neighborly?” she asked her community.

Following the meeting, Jeremiah told WABC that he does not accept Klein's apology.

"I don't forgive this woman, and she needs help," he said.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams organized the community meeting after the video of Klein calling 911 went viral.
