J. Cole Hits the Million Mark With 2014 Forest Hills Drive
After riding high from his much talked about set at the Budweiser Made in America festival last weekend, J. Cole had some more great news to celebrate as his latest chart-topping album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, has surpassed a million copies sold.
Billboard reports that according to Nielsen Music, the LP's cumulative sales made the huge jump in the week ending Sept. 3 after selling another 6,000 copies, bringing its current total to 1.004 million.
Released back in December, 2014, the album debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart, becoming Cole's third consecutive No. 1 album. To date, it also stands as the "Crooked Smile" MC's best-selling set of his career. It has since earned five entries in the Hot Rap Songs chart: "Apparently" (peaking at No. 10); "Wet Dreamz" (No. 12); "No Role Modelz" (No. 18); "Fire Squad" (No. 24); and "A Tale of 2 Citiez" (No. 25).
Though he hasn't recently released any new material, the rapper continues to top the charts. He currently sits atop the Adult R&B Songs airplay chart due to his feature on Janet Jackson's comeback single, "No Sleeep."
