Australia Cancels Supafest Tour

T.I., 50 Cent and Ne-Yo were billed to headline concert.

Australia and hip hop shows are not mixing well. For the second time in less than a week, another big music concert has been canceled.

The Supafest mini-tour, which billed T.I., 50 Cent and Ne-Yo as headliners, is now listed as gone 'til November just days ahead of its start date.

Supafest was scheduled to hit four cities starting April 25th, but lost the venues and was unable to find replacements for the last two dates in Melbourne and Brisbane. The continent-crossing tour would've pit the concert directly against concert promotion giant Live Nation and the Movement Festival, which was also canceled despite it being designed to improve Australia's reputation for festival foolery.

Last year, Supafest headliner Diddy pulled out and accused the promoters of non-payment and Missy Elliott said she never signed a contract with the promoters amid news that even with her and Diddy on the billing there were low ticket sales.

This year's tour, said the promoters, will be rescheduled for November. No dates or venues have been confirmed.
