L’Oréal is adding to their diverse roster of beauties with the addition of Ethiopian model Liya Kebede. The stunning mother of two has just been announced as the brand’s newest ambassador. “Her strength and courage has inspired us, her beauty has stunned us," the company said in a statement. "We are thrilled to have Liya Kebede join the L’Oréal Paris family as our new ambassador!”

Kebede joins fellow L’Oréal spokeswomen Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Nigerian model Oluchi.

This new platform will help further Kebede’s efforts to inspire economic independence in Ethiopia. After becoming aware of the growing rate of impoverished weavers in her homeland, she created Lemlem clothing in 2007, which offers handmade clothing from these traditional weavers.
