Charles Barkley Is Still Hating on the Warriors
Hall of Famer Charles Barkley tried to tell us before that a team of jump shooters like the Golden State Warriors weren't physical enough to win an NBA championship.
The Warriors responded with Stephen Curry winning the MVP and the team claiming the league's title last season. Which of course led to the Dubs heavily trolling Sir Charles in the process.
One would think Barkley would stop hating on Dub Nation by now ... but it seems like he isn't done just yet.
Appearing on Fox Sports's The Herd on Wednesday, Barkley says NBA teams would have beat up on the Warriors and not let them shoot lights out 25 years ago, when the league was more physical.
"We would have just mauled them," Barkley said, as reported by Bleacher Report. "You're not gonna let guys come off those picks. They changed the rules — it's kind of like the NFL where you can't touch the wide receiver. The defense is at a disadvantage, all these cornerbacks in the NFL are really at a disadvantage. And a guy like [Stephen Curry], who is amazing, you can't put your hands on him, you can't hand-check him. It's a totally different game."
The always outspoken Sir Charles added that he would "beat Steph up" coming off screens, while teams would "pound these guys on the boards" in reference to the Warriors playing small ball.
Hey, Charles, just remember the Warriors won the chip the last time you talked trash.
