A$AP Rocky Found Not Guilty, Cleared of All Charges in 2021 Shooting Case
A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, has been acquitted of all charges in the 2021 Hollywood shooting case involving former A$AP Mob associate Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli. The not guilty verdict was delivered in a Los Angeles courtroom today, marking a major legal victory for the Harlem rapper, who had maintained his innocence throughout the trial.
On November 6, 2021, an altercation occurred between A$AP Rocky and A$AP Relli in Hollywood. Prosecutors allege that during this confrontation, Rocky discharged a semi-automatic firearm, with one of the bullets grazing Relli's hand. Rocky was subsequently arrested in April 2022 upon returning to Los Angeles from a vacation with his partner, Rihanna. He was released on bail shortly thereafter.
The prosecution had alleged that Rocky fired a gun during an altercation, but the defense successfully argued that there was no conclusive evidence linking him to the shooting. Surveillance footage, witness testimonies, and forensic reports failed to definitively prove that Rocky discharged a firearm, leading the jury to rule in his favor.
This is a developing story.
