Jennifer Hudson has got to be cringing after seeing just how upset Oprah was when she was scheduled to appear on the daytime queen’s TV show.The drama was captured on the April 23rd episode of Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes and started when Oprah found out that Jennifer Hudson would be hours late. 

Of all the days J-Hud could be late, she would have to choose the day that the show was juggling an even heavier than usual three-episode taping load, thanks to a massive snowstorm. Oprah's team of producers scrambled to make sure all of the guests were in Chicago before the storm—including Hudson. But when Oprah’s staff called Hudson, they learned the singer left Chicago the night before the taping for an event in Dallas. She was sitting on a plane delayed, instead of in Chicago getting ready for production. Oprah was beside herself. “Excuse me, excuse me. What the hell is going on?” she said. “I’ve never heard of this, in 25 years this has not happened.”

You’d think there’d be a really great reason for the last-minute trip to Texas, but Hudson was in Dallas to attend a party with Jamie Foxx. The stunt ended up backing up the entire day of production. If time is money, there’s no telling how much that cost in Oprah-land!

When the episode aired, Oprah responded to fan’s questions live on Twitter and one of her followers asked if she was “upset/mad” with Hudson after the stunt. “Uhhh kinda!” Oprah responded. 

Who dares to keep Oprah waiting? For two hours … when they’ve been asked to appear on Oprah’s show …on the final season!?

Hopefully The Big O doesn’t hold grudges.
