Joe Budden Reads Drake’s Critical DMs On His Podcast
Joe Budden isn’t letting this Drake beef slide, and he’s deciding to air out all the dirty laundry.
On the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the New Jersey native read off a series of angry DMs the Toronto rapper sent him after Budden criticized his latest album, For All The Dogs.
First, Budden read the lengthy comment Drizzy left him last week during which he the latter claimed the former “failed at music.” Subsequently, Budden revealed Drake sent him an almost minute-long voice note, which, after initially admitting he didn’t hear, he read out loud.
Drake and Joe Budden Spar Online Over Criticism of New Album
“Take a chill pill, Anthony,” Drake allegedly messaged him. “Have a drink. Throw on some instrumentals. Maybe write one of those, ‘Fellas, do your thing, lemme do my thing’ joints for old time’s sake. A little radio play would do you some good, papa.”
“It sounds like he thinks that this is, like, Views beef time. I want to reiterate: I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” Budden interjected. “I don’t have beef! I don’t even get the message, but cool.”
Budden eventually replied to Drake’s direct message by writing: “I’m not sure why you went crazy like that. I like the album. This ain’t 2016, I got no beef. Get your shit off, though. As a matter of fact, nobody’s happier for you than me.”
