BET Awards 2022: Taraji P. Henson Shares The Best Advice Her Father Gave Her
Taraji P. Henson is headed to the BET Awards 2022 and is already looking to shut down the house. Henson is proud to give our community a great show and show other Black women they can do anything they put their mind to. She chatted with BET.com and shared the best part about being a Black woman — which she shares is how they love.
“I would say how we love,” she answered.
“We have a great way of nurturing and loving when we love. Sometimes it can be our trap because we love others more than we love ourselves.”
Now, we all know Henson is all about mental health and she also shared what she learned on the journey.
“My mental health journey is a journey and the healing didn’t happen overnight,” she shared.
“It takes time, it's a journey, and it’s something you have to be patient with.”
She also tells BET.com that the best advice she received was from her father.
“The best advice I received was from my father,” the actress shared.
“Get from around those who have your same problems and get around those with your solutions”
