Wiz Khalifa's New Album Drops This Month
Wiz Khalifa dropped a little music news during the 73rd annual Golden Globes red carpet Sunday. Looking dapper in a black Thom Browne tux and Gucci loafers, the Pittsburgh rapper, whose “See You Again” earned a Best Original Song nod, revealed the release date for his upcoming Khalifa project.
“I got an album on the way,” he told E! Red Carpet host Giuliana Rancic. “It’s coming out Jan. 22.” Beyond the new album, and a Rolling Papers 2 mixtape this year, Khalifa plans to hit the road again. “I came off of two really successful tours [last] year, so we’re gearing up for some more tours now.”
There’s a good chance Wiz was high on the carpet (it’s kind of his thing) and the 28-year-old rapper looked like he was having a great time, with his mom, Kate “Peachie” Wimbush-Polk, in tow. When asked what made “See You Again” the chart-topping lead single from Furious 7 so popular he explained, "It's a great song for people who are going through something and need a little bit of motivation and need to know that everything will be all right.”
Unfortunately, Khalifa didn’t want the Globe last night, but he got some Instagram love from his ex, Amber Rose, and their son, Sebastian. Read Rose’s post below.
