This Is Why LeBron James’s Son Won’t Wear His Dad’s Number
LeBron James Jr. could easily relish being the son of arguably the best basketball player on the planet...but he doesn't.
In speaking with Sports Illustrated, LeBron James says his 11-year-old son, LeBron Jr., is hellbent on creating his own basketball legacy so much that he distances himself from what his dad has accomplished on the court.
“He doesn’t want people to know who he is,” James says. “He hates when they ask him for pictures and autographs. He won’t even wear my number.”
Wow. Instead of King James's 23, LeBron Jr. rocks the No. 0, the same as his dad's Cleveland Cavaliers' teammate, Kevin Love.
If the kid stays on his path, he'll carve out his own basketball legacy and then some. Already, LeBron Jr. is receiving attention from national basketball scouts and college recruiters for his promising play on the AAU circuit.
Watch out for lil man.
