Meek Mill, YG, Roddy Ricch And More Honor Nipsey Hussle During Grammy Tribute
On an already mournful evening following the untimely death of fellow LA legend Kobe Bryant, Nipsey Hussle was honored at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards. Hussle's former peers and collaborators gathered on the Staples Center stage to deliver a moving tribute to the fallen hometown hero—including Meek Mill, YG, Roddy Ricch, DJ Khaled and John Legend.
In addition to Meek and Roddy premiering a new song celebrating the rapper, a highlight of the performance was the surprise appearance of gospel icon Kirk Franklin—who lifted the arena's spirits as the audience remembered the lives of both Hussle and Bryant. Appearing as DJ Khaled delivered an emphatic message, "long live Nipsey Hussle, long live Kobe Bryant," an image of the two titans lit the jumbotron before the tribute's close.
Check out reactions to the performance below, and keep it locked for more Grammys coverage.
