Jay Z Wants to Help You Get Lit With An $850 Bottle of Champagne

Hov has a new liquor on the market.

Champagne has quenched the thirst of rappers from Biggie to Diddy, but Jay Z took things to the next level in 2014 when he purchased Armand de Brignac, helping it rise to prominence in the Hip Hop community.
On Wednesday, Jay and his company announced that they will be going ultra-ultra-premium by rolling out a special edition bubbly that will cost $850 per bottle.

The upcoming edition will be called Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Two, or simply A2 for short. “Jay is a very strong businessman, certainly one that likes to understand what consumers want and here to build the business for the long term,” Armand’s CEO Sebastien Besson told Bloomberg. “He always has a few bottles on hand for a celebration, I know that for sure.”

This will be the fourth new champagne that Armand has released since Jay took the brand over, but A2 will surely be the most anticipated, with only 2,333 bottles set to be available for the general public upon its April 18th release.
