T-Boz Clears Up Health Rumors Following Hospitalization
T-Boz has put an end to speculation about her health by revealing that she was recently hospitalized due to an “abdominal blockage.” The TLC star shared in a press statement on her Instagram page that after a show in Toledo, Ohio, on August 22, she was struck with “sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps,” leading to her hospitalization. Due to this health scare, T-Boz and her bandmate Chilli have had to cancel a series of upcoming performances but assured fans they would be rescheduled.
The 54-year-old posted an Instagram video on Wednesday to address the recent news surrounding the incident. "I never intended to share my personal business like this," she explained. "But since I had to miss shows, it needed to be said. However, I feel like it was overly detailed—I don't like people in my business or all this attention."
She added, "No, I'm not on Ozempic. Not every celebrity is, and the ignorance around this is really disheartening. People have lost their lives from what I just experienced."
The “No Scrubs” singer clarified that the blockage was caused by scar tissue from a surgery she had 24 years ago. T-Boz was released three days ago and described the hardship as "excruciating" but shared that she is now "blessed and working again." She also emphasized that the blockage had nothing to do with her sickle cell condition.
This latest news adds to a series of challenges for TLC, as the group has faced multiple health-related setbacks this year. Three months ago, they were forced to postpone four Canadian tour dates after T-Boz and several crew members had the flu.
