The fashion icon may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

André Leon Talley may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

On Friday (April 29), people from around the world gathered in Harlem to celebrate the fashion icon’s long-lasting legacy. The funeral service was held at Talley’s longtime house of worship, The Abyssinian Baptist Church.

Among those in attendance included Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell, Marc Jacobs, Kimora Lee Simmons, Gayle King, Martha Stewart, and Grace Coddington.

The North Carolina native sadly passed away on January 18 at the age of 73.

FYI: Talley broke barriers when he was appointed the first-ever Black creative director at Vogue in 1988. He later worked as Vogue's editor-at-large from 1998 to 2013.
