Here's How T.I. Is Helping 300 Black Families See 'Black Panther'

This is so great!

T.I. is doing something really incredible for families in Atlanta.

As Black Panther’s domestic premiere date dwindles down to the final hours, T.I. is reportedly joining the movement to help families, children, and underrepresented communities see the highly anticipated superhero movie in their local theater. The rapper has reportedly teamed up with Walmart to make that a reality for 300 lucky fans in Atlanta.

"Me and @Walmart joined efforts to support the community with free tickets for customers to attend an Advance Screening of @MarvelStudios @blackpanther,” he wrote in a post on Twitter on Feb. 13. “We gave away 300 tickets to deserving families yesterday at the Cascade Walmart store.”

This is T.I.'s first time partnering with Walmart. In Dec. 2017, the rapper made headlines after he dropped a whopping $20,000 for single mothers to buy Christmas and holiday presents for their families.

As far as the Black Panther premiere, T.I. joins a list of celebs who have joined the #BlackPantherChallenge, which was originally started by New York’s Federick Joseph to help children and others see the film. Octavia Spencer and Ellen DeGeneres have also joined the movement.

Black Panther officially hits theaters Friday, Feb. 16. The film isn’t even out yet, but is projected to sell more than $100 million in its opening weekend. It has also reportedly outsold any other superhero movie in advanced tickets.
