To kick off the night for the MTV Video Music Awards 2022, Jack Harlow and Lizzo brought the heat for the opening. 

Harlow, who had a plane simulating entrance, was joined by former Black Eyed Peas member, Fergie, during his performance of "First Class". His performance also included cameos by Lil Nas X, Chloe Bailey and Saucy Santana, who were passengers on his first class flight.

Following Harlow, was the incomparable Lizzo, who wowed us in Barbie-core pink, as she sung a medley of her hit songs, from her recent album, Special. Lizzo's album, on the Billboard's Top Album Sales chart earning the singer her first No. 1 on the list. 

The MTV VMAs 2022 took place on Sunday (Aug. 28), live from Newark, NJ.
