Join us in congratulating Van Jefferson and his wife Samaria Jefferson on the birth of their second child! In case you missed it, the high school sweethearts had quite a weekend to remember after Samaria went into labor during Super Bowl 56!
According to ABC News, Samaria left the SoFi Stadium on a stretcher after going into labor. The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver reportedly ran off the field to meet his wife—who was said to be due on Feb. 17—immediately after the winning game.
The pair welcomed their second baby together on Sunday evening. ESPN reports that Van took to Instagram Live to celebrate with fans. "It was a great day, bro. I got three prizes today — my wife, my son, and the Super Bowl," the new dad and Super Bowl champ happily shared.
The pro athlete also posted this photo onto his Instagram Story showing himself cradling his newborn son in his arms. "X2!!!!!" he captioned the heartwarming photo.
At this time, no other baby details were shared.
The married couple is also proud parents of their 5-year-old daughter, Bella.
