B.o.B. Talks Andre 3000 Collaboration
As a musically gifted rapper from Atlanta, B.o.B. has always engendered comparisons to and expressed admiration for Outkast's Andre 3000. The two artists share a song together on Bobby Ray's forthcoming sophomore album, Strange Clouds, and the younger rapper took the opportunity to talk up the collab — which he called "a pass-the-torch moment" — in a recent interview with Gowhere Hip Hop.
“Man, 3000, we took him to the year 5000 on this one. I feel like it’s a good chance for people to see the differences between me and Dre,” he said. “For me, it’s like a pass-the-torch moment, like passing the baton off. Now I gotta take it around the track. But man, it’s a really dope song, I’m excited about it. It’s one of the singles off the album Strange Clouds. The clouds can only get stranger from here.”
Strange Clouds is due in stores March of 2012. The album's title track and first single, which features another rap star in Lil Wayne, was released last month.
